Our social project "Prudent and goodneighborly dog-keeping culture through agility training" is a receiver of the Local Initiative Grant.

The goal of the agility training project (more on dog agility: HERE) is to promote prudent and goodneighborly dog-keeping in Pärnumaa county. Through the training project we aim to strengthen the bond between the pet and its owner, foster cooperative behavior and obedience in the pet, and provide the owner with knowledge on how to cultivate obedience in his/her pet to ease its adjustment to urban environment.

The training is free of charge for all pet owners in Pärnu who have adopted or recovered their dog from Pärnu shelter and wish to school their willful pet with the help of a agility trainer 1-2 times a week.

You have to provide an adoption agreement or a letter of confirmation from Pärnu shelter in order to participate. The pet has to be vaccinated and micro-chipped according to regulations. The training project period is two months.

Meie projektiga on liitunud Pärnu Piirkondlik Koerakasvatajate Klubi www.parnupkk.ee, kes pakub sotsiaalprojekti raames aastaringset professionaalset kuulekuskoolitust tõupuhastele ja segaverelistele koertele. Programmi raames on võimalik osaleda koerte kuulekuskoolituses. Treeningud toimuvad gruppides. Võimalik ka individuaaltreening. Koolituse kestvus 1 kuu.   Pärnu varjupaigast võetud koerte treening ja nõustamine TASUTA! Koolitusele pääsemise aluseks on Pärnu varjupaiga poolt väljastatud  loovutusleping või kinnituskiri. Lemmikloom peab olema nõuetekohaselt vaktsineeritud ja mikrokiibistatud.
