Pärnu Animal Shelter is open from Tuesday to Friday between 12:00 - 17:00; on Saturdays and Sundays between 12:00 - 14:00. On Mondays the Shelter is closed for sanitation.
Requests for service are handled on workdays between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 and on Saturdays between 10:00 and 14:00; out of hours we respond to calls involving incidents where the lives of people or animals are at risk. When contacting us out of hours, please be sure to leave a message on the answering machine. We value the well-being of every animal very highly and you will be contacted as soon as possible.
Pärnu Animal Shelter is not licensed to care for wildlife. Incidents involving wildlife can be reported at 1313, the short number for the Environmental Board, or at 5045891, the number for Nigula Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

On 1 February 2008 Varjupaikade MTÜ Pärnu Animal Shelter and the Association of Local Authorities of Pärnu County signed a cooperation agreement regarding the catching of stray animals and providing shelter. The agreement concerns 18 local authorities of Pärnu County. Pärnu Shelter additionally has an agreement with Vigala County.
Donations to the animals of Pärnu Shelter can be made in donation boxes in Pärnu Maxima XXX, Kaubamajakas, Port Artur 2 and Sindi Konsum.
