kiisu ja kutsu

In our shelters in Pärnu, Viljandi, Virumaa, Valga and Võru we take care of around 2500 animals each year. We would not be able to do that without caring, helpful and dedicated volunteers who donate every year hundreds of hours of their time and energy. Becoming a volunteer does not require any previous experience, we will offer you relevant training.

What do the volunteers do in our shelters?

There are different ways to give your own contribution to help the animals. You can do that by:

-          Showing and introducing the animals to the visitors,

-          Taking care of the cats and going for a walk with the dogs and socialising them,

-          Offering foster home to baby animals, sick animals or to animals with special needs,

-          Raising funds to help the animals,

-          Coordinating other volunteers,

-          Helping to take care of the administrative tasks;

-          Organizing different events;

-          Giving your contribution to raise awareness and promote the culture of keeping of animals in our society.

The more there are people volunteering, the more efficiently we will be able to allocate resources among various activities necessary for helping the animals, such as care and sterilization.

How to become a volunteer?

-          If you care about animals, you are willing to dedicate 2-4hours per week to volunteer work and you would like to become a volunteer in one of our shelters, please fill out the volunteer application on our homepage.

-          If you are between 14-18 years old, you need your parents’ approval to become a volunteer.

-          If you are younger than 14 years, you will be able to do the volunteer work together with an adult.

After you have filled in the application form, the shelter will contact you directly.

We warmly welcome any kind of help!
